Mathematics has played and is playing a vital role in the rapidly changing world of Science and Technology. Mathematics is an indispensable tool in the physical sciences, engineering, and commerce, and central to the social sciences and humanities. The scope of mathematics is ever on the rise. Mathematical principles and concepts have become a part of almost every area of work and knowledge, forming the backbone of all sorts of developments, guiding the technical and scientific revolution in the world. Thanks to the modern technology through which we can exploit the worldwide network of seismic sensors to predict earthquakes, an advance over biology and medicine, Scientists in all fields of research use Mathematics to analyse their data, within a computer almost always involves Mathematics. Through mathematical calculations and measurements, engineers and architects ensure that the buildings and structures they build are safe. That’s why Mathematics is taught at every level of education. Our department provides a comprehensive curriculum that covers different aspects of mathematics and various streams of study to cater for the diverse career goals of the students. Our program is not only concerned with providing high quality education with Modern, diversified teaching methods, workshops, Seminars, Guest Speaker Sessions, oral and multimedia presentation, but also serves to deliver training, encouraging cooperation, and enhancing the sense of responsibility among students. Currently, we have a well-qualified faculty of 15 members, including 8 PhD, 7 MPhil teachers.
